The Trinity Immigration Initiative


The Trinity Immigration Initiative brings together key strands of Trinity College’s strategic plan in order to support the development of a more inclusive, multicultural Ireland. The TII’s first activity is a research programme on Diversity, Integration and Policy that was launched in 2007 and will run till 2010. The programme comprises six interacting projects:

  • Parallel Societies or Overlapping Diversities
  • National Policy Impacts
  • Migrant Careers and Aspirations
  • Action Research on Community Relations
  • Migrant Networks – Facilitating Migrant Integration
  • English Language Support Programme for Post-primary Schools

Remember, these units are further supplemented with a wide range of appropriate language learning and self-study activities suitable for post-primary students to do individually, in pairs or in small groups.
